Grampa Anderson

On February 7, 2008 my Grampa Lynn Alfred Anderson passed away from a heart attack in the Boise Idaho temple after his shift was over. I can't think of a more perfect way for my Grampa to leave this earth, than in the holy temple that he loved and worked in since it opened 23 years ago! (Yes, I realize that I spelled Grandpa incorrectly, but this is how I have spelled it since I could first write, and I always will!)

My Grampa was the happiest man I have ever known! He had the best laugh ever! I can still hear him when I look at pictures of him and his adorably contagious smile! He loved his family, the farm, the gospel and the Lord! He was the greatest example of service to me! He served the Lord literally until the day he died, and I know he has not stopped! I am so thankful for my knowledge of the atonement of my savior, Jesus Christ! With this knowledge, I am at peace with the thought of my Gramma and Grampa's happy reunion! I love them so much, and I know that I will see them again if I live the gospel in the way that they did! His passing makes me want to be a better example for my children and family!

We had the most awesome family reunion and 90th birthday party for Grampa over Thanksgiving. About one third of our family could not be there, and still there was about 120 of our family members in attendence! This included all 7 of Gramma and Grampa's children. The family legacy that my Grandparents left is incredible! I am so very thankful for this time we had with him.

I know that my Heavenly Father loves me because he blessed me with the most perfect Grandparents ever! He knew that I would need the love, support, and example that my Gramma and Grampa ALWAYS showed me! And now they are together again and waiting for the day that we will all live together as an eternal family!

I love you Grampa! You will be SO MISSED!
