Weiser 1st Ward Christmas Party

Our Christmas party this year was wonderful! We had an awesome activities commitee who actually put some thought into the theme! It was "Picture a Christmas". 5 of the larger families in the ward were given a Norman Rockwell painting to set up in these HUGE frames that some awesome Brothers in the ward made. Our family was given the painting of the mother holding the turkey over the table and everyone Ooohing and Ahhing over it. Santa was awesome, but Kyler still would not sit on his lap, so no picture of him AGAIN this year.

Kryshna Shae
Karley Dawn
Our version of the picture. Mom and Dad are standing and Lula, Dustin, Hailee and Myself are sitting around the table. After we "posed" for our picture, we sang "Over the river and through the woods" to go along with our "picture". It was fun!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Primary Cookies!

I have been the Primary Chorister since January of this year and absolutely love it! To get the kids to learn the songs a little better, I gave them a CD with all the songs on it and told them to listen to them every week. For every time that they listened to the CD, they would get to put a bean in their "music jar" every Sunday. I told them when they filled up their jars, they would get a surprise! They finally filled their jars right before their primary program, so I ordered a cookie cutter shaped as a music note and made 100 sugar cookies!! I had flour, frosting and chocolate sprinkles from one side of my kitchen to the other! It was so worth it to see these smiling faces!!

Senior Primary
I love these kids so much and am so proud of the AWESOME job they did at this years Primary Program! Always remember: You are all Children of God - Keep singing!

Halloween 2008

Halloween was really fun this year!

Kayden as the SPECIAL White Power Ranger

Kyler as a basketball!
Krysh as a scarecrow

Karley did go to a theme party where I made her a toga, but she did not want to actually trick or treat this year. She is so grown up now ya know!

The whole gang at the trunk-or-treat at the church. If you can't tell, Huntyr is a baseball, Sienna is a Bumblebee, Denica is a Fairy, Dauge is a Dalmation and Brynlei is a Princess!

Karley and Kyler's BIRTHDAYS!!!

Since I have not had high speed internet for a while, I have missed blogging about some VERY IMPORTANT events in our lives! So, I am now back-tracking a little to get caught up!

Karley and Kylers birthdays were September 6th and 14th - right during our move to the new house, so, we celebrated a little late.

THE CAKES - Karley started volleyball this year and had a blast, so I decided to make her cake a volleyball. I then thought I would just make it a sports theme because Ky Ky loves football. I got a little carried away with the 4 cakes, but they turned out so cute!!

Karley Dawn is now a TEENAGER!!

Kyler Bruce is 3!
I LOVE this picture!

Mom and the B-day kids!
I love you two and hope you had a good late birthday!

New House!

So this is our new house. For those of you Weiserites that follow my blog, you may recognize this house as the Woods house. Norm and Joan Woods lived here with their family of 7 or 8 kids, I can't remember - does anyone know? I can remember beautiful Wendy, Lori- because she taught me piano lessons in this house, there was another daughter but I can't think of her name,Ryan went to school with my sister Stacy, and I can remember a Kent. Norm used to be the Bishop of 1st ward in Weiser when I was growing up. Anyway, we like it and are adjusting nicely now that we are getting settled in.

Back of house - The kids love the tire swing we put up!

We were very blessed that this house was available and we know that the Lord was looking out for our little family in our time of need! I am so thankful for the gospel and the knowledge I have that it is true! We are truly blessed!

UPDATE

OK, so I have had a couple of comments left on my last blog by my beautiful cousins, and I feel the need to update everyone on my little situation. We have moved, which is a story all it's own, and one that I will tell at a later date. But for now I will let you know why it has taken me so bleepin' long to update my beloved blog.
We already lived in the middle of nowhere in little Weiser, ID - but we now REALLY live in nowhere land! We actually only moved a few miles from our old home, but it is way out in the boonies! We cannot get DSL, which was the high speed internet that we had at our old house, just a few piddly miles away! When we called to have them change our connection, they informed us that we were not in the service area at this time and that it could be anywhere from 4 months to a YEAR before they get their butts in gear and get DSL to our new home! Talk about bummer! Since the move we have had DIAL UP!!! Can you believe that nonsense - I can no longer be on my laptop and on the phone at the same time - that is ridiculous!!! Downloading pictures?- FORGET ABOUT IT!! I feel like I have reverted back to my early teenage years in Junior High where I was the awkward brace face with the bad home perm who pegged her pants and wore socks with Birkenstocks!! I am so out of the loop because it takes so long to get onto anyone's blog to see what is going on! I am no longer the confident girl with the straight teeth and hair who would never again wear such tight pants or socks with any kind of sandal whatsoever!! I am at this very moment, using my parents computer to type this blog update - can anyone say LOSER?!
So, to my beautiful cousins with their snippy comments - BACK OFF!! Your giving me a complex already! I am stockpiling pictures and stories to tell once I get back to the real world of high speed and wireless internet where I can lounge on the couch and blog to my hearts content! Ahh blogging, how I miss you! And, I miss all of you too! I had to come to Mom and Dad's to get my "blog fix" and see what you are all up to! Lindsay has been VERY BUSY and has a beautiful baby girl - Brynlee Louise - check out her blog!! I will be back soon! Love you all!!

SCHOOL

I seriously can't believe my kiddos are already back in school! This year they are all in different schools. Karley is in 7th grade a the Middle School, Kryshna is in 4th grade at Park School and Kayden is in 1st grade at Pioneer School. The girls officially started yesterday and this is thier 1st day pic!

Kayden just went to meet his teacher, find his classroom and put away all his supplies in his desk.

Kayden loves to remind people whenever possible that he is now 6 years old - (does he enjoy making his mother feel OLD?)

So Ky-Ky wanted one showing his age - AND wearing his backpack like the other kids.

Kayden's backpack probably out-weighs him by 30# or so, but is this not the cutest picture?!

Kayden is still in his picture taking mode - so this is the one he took of me and Ky. Can you see the anxiousness on my face? I still get nervous every year when I have to send the kids off to school. I think I hid it well.

Then Ky had to try his hand at picture taking - with a little help from the Mom!
Sienna and Kayden are in the same class this year and boy, are they EXCITED! They look too little to be going to school EVERYDAY this year - What am I going to do?

This is their cute teacher - Miss Lukehart - they will have a great time!
This is a pic from this morning - Kayden's 1st official day of school and the girls 2nd. I felt really special when the girls asked me to do their hair this morning. They are so independent now that I hardly ever get to help them anymore. Isn't this cute?.... I mean, very grown up and sophisticated!Off they go to catch the bus - at least they all gave me a kiss and hug before they left - I didn't even cry this time! Kyler and I are now home alone and missing these guys !

HAPPY SCHOOL YEAR KIDDOS! I LOVE YOU!

Twin Falls Temple

I was so excited to be able to go through the Twin Falls Temple open house. I was going to pick-up Karley from the airport tonight, so we decided since I would be going that way, we would make a day of it. Bill felt he could not miss work, so Kryshna and I went and had a great time.

The temple is so beautiful.

Summer, Mom, Chelsey and Hailee

Clayton (Chelsey's boyfriend) came with us. Clayton, Chels, Dad, Mom, Me, Hailee and Krysh

Krysh at Shoshone Falls

We had lunch in the park.
Then we started taking pictures - I climbed on this thing-
Then we ALL did!

AH, the cute couple!

Picking up Karley from the airport. She had been in Salt Lake for 2 weeks with her Aunt Kym and had a blast. Now on to shop till we drop!

Fun in the Sun

Yesterday I woke up and decided to take the kids for some swimming at Manns Creek Reservior. Mom and Chels came with me and we had a great day!

Brynlei and Kyler love these little chairs.

Dinky had her very own seat - she does not enjoy the water at all!

Kayden was making a sand castle with a moat. All Kyler and Bryn wanted to do was stand in that moat! So, Kayden dug them their very own moats (which were basically a hole they could fill with water) and they spent their time refilling their little "moats" and standing in them. This was after we had been there a few hours, so yes - the diapers were OFF!

Krysh and Hailee could spend all day in the water.
